While the new manager has been recognized for the technical skills, self and other people management is a minefield. They must learn how to lead others rather than do the work themselves, to motivate, manage their peers, earn trust and respect, and to strike the right balance between delegation and control. It is a transition many find challenging to make.

This entry-level leadership program provides deputies and aspiring leaders with a foundational understanding of leadership skills and competencies essential for individual and organizational success. It also introduces the essentials of effective leadership to equip them to lead from where they are within their organization. Some areas we focus on include effective presentation and communication skills, team dynamics, planning and budgeting, the effective feedback process, problem-solving and conflict resolution, decision-making skills, and different management styles.
